IOF Launches Its 1st Simulation-Based Training Program

In collaboration with Euromoney Learning Solutions, the Institute of Finance (IOF) launched its first simulation-based training program in the area of bank management last week. The program enables participants, during the period of the program, to manage a virtual bank and make all major strategic and operational decisions within a virtual and dynamic environment covering a long virtual period. This virtual period covers a complete economic cycle of 10 years to allow for the results of such decisions to be reflected on the bank’s performance, its financial stance, and its financial indicators. During every stage, participants discuss and analyze those decisions, their effects, and lessons learned. The program is held at the Simulation Lab which is equipped with the latest technologies and software in the field of simulation. IOF is planning to continue providing new specialized simulation-based training programs in the coming period as this method of training focuses on practical aspects and is efficient in dealing with complicated technical subjects.
