The IOF Holds a four-Week Intensive Training Program for CBY Staff

Monday 7th of Rabi’ II 1439H (December 25th 2017) marked the launch of a 4-week training program for the staff of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) at SAMA’s Institute of Finance (IOF).

The training program includes a suite of specialized training courses in the business line of central banks, including electronic banking systems; control and supervision in the fields of inspection, auditing and capital adequacy (Basel standards); and anti-money laundering. The program also features practical application at SAMA departments, as well as a training course for trainers to furnish them with the skills and tools necessary to transfer knowledge to the rest of CBY staff.

This program is held as part of SAMA’s endeavors to collaborate with the CBY in building, qualifying and developing human cadres in line with the training needs provided by the CBY.

It is worth noting that the IOF provides many training programs and courses aiming at raising the performance level of financial service jobs in Saudi Arabia through promoting the capabilities and skills of financial sector workers and providing them with training solutions. The IOF also seeks to raise the professional standards of training and qualification in accordance with the best international practices, as well as developing and holding specialized professional tests; granting professional certificates; conducting papers and research; and convening specialized symposia and seminars.
