The Institute of Finance ExamsPolicies and Procedures

Exams' Instructions:

 

  • To be admitted to the examination center, candidates should produce a government issued valid original ID showing his/her photograph, The ID information must be the same as previously entered in the electronic system at the time of registration.
  • The candidate can change the exam language one day before the exam date.
  • Candidates must report to test center at least 30 Minutes before the start of the exam to complete admission procedures.
  • Candidates are not allowed to enter the exam room after the start of the exam session.
  • A candidate may take the exam for a maximum of five times (five attempts)in one calendar year. The number of attempts will be recounted with the beginning of each year.
  • A candidate who fails to pass the exam and intends to be re-take the exam should wait for a period of (15) calendar days after each attempt.
  • authorized entities can register candidates via online two days prior to the exam date.
  • authorized entities can make replacement for candidates via online two days prior to the exam date with charges of 100 SR.
  • exam postponement is not available.

 

Calculators Allowed in the Exam Room

  • Ordinary calculators are allowed
  • Only the following financial calculators are allowed :

Texas Instruments BA II Plus, ordinary.

HP 12C Financial Calculator

The memory of the calculators shall be deleted before entry to the examination room.

 

 

Cancelation Policy:

 

  • Cancelations could be made according to the following conditions:
  • For a full refund, cancelation should be requested at least 30 days before the exam day.
  • The client will be charged 50% of the exam fees if cancellation is requested 15 to 30 days prior to the day of the exam.
  • The client will be charged 100% of the exam fees when cancelation is requested less than 15 days before the day of exam.

 

Violation Reporting and Penalties of Cheating:

 

In case of proven misconduct during the exam, such as causing inconvenience or disturbance, cheating or violating any of the rules stated hereinabove, the IOF confirms such violations, the candidate who committed the violation shall be subject to the following penalties:

  • If a registered person is found guilty of cheating or attempting to cheat during any of IOF qualification examinations ,his/her registration shall be cancelled, barred from registering for any registerable function and barred from taking any IOF qualification examinations for a period of 3 years as of the date when the offense was committed.
  • Proctor can end the candidate’s exam if he/she went out of the Exam’s Center without prior permission.

 

 

Exam Revision Guidelines:

 

A request must be submitted to the Exams Design Unit through the following email address: (exams@iof.org.sa). Please note that the email is the official means of communication. (Review Request)

  • There will be a fees of (400) SAR for each revision request.
  • A certified check must be submitted within three business days from the date of making the request.
  • The candidate is entitled to refund the full amount in case there was an error.
  • The institute will not look in any revision request for a test that is older than five working days.
  • The institute requires twenty working days for each revision request.
  • The institute has the right to accept or reject any request. 
  • In case you would like to ask for the Exam detail report, request must be submitted within 14 days from the exam date.
